Combine warm water, yeast, honey and water in a large mixing bowl. Stir and allow to rest for 10 minutes for the yeast to begin to activate
Add the flour, 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tsp salt to the yeast mixture and stir until combined
Knead the mixture by hand or in an electric mixer with paddle or dough hook attachment until the dough forms into a smooth ball
Oil a large clean bowl with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Place the dough in the large bowl and cover with a damp towel and leave in a warm area. Allow the dough to proof for 2-3 hours, the dough should triple in size
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F
Use a 9 inch x 13 inch glass baking pan, use 1 tbsp of oil to coat the interior of the pan to ensure the dough does not stick
Place the risen dough in the baking pan. Spread the dough to fully cover the pan. Use your fingers or the back of a spoon to dimple the dough
Add your toppings and seasonings of choice to the top of the dough, drizzle olive oil and remaining salt.
The second proof, allow the formed dough to rest for 20-30 minutes
Place baking pan into the over and cook for about 25 minutes. The top of the bread should be golden brown.
Remove the bread from the baking pan and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving
